Getting started
What is ElevatePay?
ElevatePay is a mobile money app for Nigeria. It lets you send and receive money, create virtual NGN and USD cards, pay bills, and buy or sell crypto — all from one secure wallet.
How do I open an account?
Download the app, sign up with your phone number, and verify your identity. Basic verification takes a couple of minutes; adding your BVN or NIN unlocks higher limits.
Is ElevatePay a bank?
No. ElevatePay is a financial technology company. We work with licensed partner institutions to hold funds and process payments, and with licensed custodians for crypto.
Money & fees
How do I add money to my wallet?
Every account gets a dedicated NGN account number. Transfer to it from any Nigerian bank and your wallet is funded instantly.
What does it cost?
Transfers between accounts are free. Some services like bill payments or card transactions may carry small, clearly-shown fees before you confirm.
Can I hold US dollars?
Yes. You can hold a USD balance alongside your naira wallet and spend it with a virtual dollar card.
Security
How is my money protected?
We use bank-grade security: encrypted data at rest, two-factor authentication, biometric login, and continuous monitoring. Your card details are never stored in plain text.
What if I lose my phone?
Your account is protected by your passcode, biometrics and 2FA. You can sign out of all devices and reset access from a new device after re-verifying your identity.
Do you support crypto safely?
Yes. Crypto is held with licensed custodial partners rather than self-managed private keys, reducing the risk of loss.
